Some key phrases:
- “They suck live”
- “They play the same set every night”
- “No wonder they’re not signed”
- “We’re way better than them. Every other band on the bill tonight is better than them!”

I’ve definitely either said or had all four of those things said about my band on more than one occasion. It’s usually followed by a very general, backhanded compliment after that band’s set like “You guys were really tight” or “I really liked your transitions”. Great blog.
